Blue Eyes was created during my residency at the Masterworks Foundation in Bermuda, inspired by the island’s vibrant landscapes and the quiet strength of its women. The dominant blue palette honours the surrounding sea and sky while drawing on African and Caribbean traditions that connect the ocean to spirituality, protection and Diaspora history. Through a serene yet commanding gaze, this portrait celebrates Black identity, legacy and the undeniable power of presence.
